Dianthus subacaulis originates from the sunny rocky ridges and stony slopes of South West Europe. 

Dianthus subacaulis has light pink to carmine flowers with narrow, stiff dark green cushion-forming foliage.

Flowers early summer onwards.

Grows 5cm / 2" tall. It is ideal for rock gardens and alpine troughs.

Dianthus love to be planted in free draining alkaline soils in a nice sunny spot.
