Native to the Balkans. This Dianthus has red flowers on tall upright flower stems upto 45cm/18".  

Blue/green semi-evergreen foliage.

This plant was featured in Cleve West's RHS Chelsea 2011 show garden.

Dianthus love to be planted in free draining alkaline to neutral soils in a nice sunny spot.
